Re: The Rise of ISIS
Yes indeed! We must also take our share of the blame because we put the drogues into power. We need to find decent people to run for Govt. People with the balls to stand up to the crooks.
Many people thought that when Bams got in the top job, he was going to be another FDR or JFK -- Wrong! He's just the same as the rest, in the pockets of Wall St. and the CoL. Cameron is a Banker's poodle and Millibrand is no better.
We also need to get away from our addiction to Oil and use alternatives where we can.
Tim.

I really did not think Obama was going to make such a difference, although I must admit America was descending into chaos fast. I do not think any president can solve the problems of the world. It is out of control because the sky is the limit, and as we all know the sky begins right above our heads. I think even of there was a brave idiot who could turn things around, they would do to him what they did to Jesus Christian.

Or Kennedy. Had Nader gotten in office, he would have been locked fighting both Democrats as well as Republicans.

Re: The Rise of ISIS
Nice video but to me it's way more complicated than that.... the CIA and MI5 have been involved in long term calamities for decades, starting with the dictators in Latin America in the 60s and 70s.
I also have the feeling that every terrorist attack is done to produce a backlash of some sort.. but who are the 'terrorists' behind them?
I am not saying the West are to be blamed for everything, because the Islamists extremists hate other type of muslims more than they hate us, but we have been meddling in the Middle East for a long time.... the question is why?
...the answer was oil....

Re: The Rise of ISIS
Well, it's always been complicated there: after WWI the British government assumed control of Palestine and soon issued the Balfour declaration which declared Palestine a home for the Jewish people too.
Hitler sent more than 50000 Jewish to Palestine and more went by themselves until there were so many it began to cause trouble with the Arab Palestinians, with riots and all.
After WWII the British government asked the UN to decide what to do in the region and they decided to create two different states, one Arab and one Jewish... and Israel was created. The British government opposed that and Britain left the region in 1948....

Look at the old films of 1948, see what vehicles and weapons the Israelis hold and drive and that will give an idea of support.

Re: The Rise of ISIS
Balfour's original idea was a state where the two groups could live in peace. But the Ashkenazim had another idea and set about clensing the land of people.
Ben Gurion was the man behind it and the architect and Moshi Dayan was the thug who carried it out. Ariel Shiron's father (known as "Edruh - killer") invented the car bomb and used it with deadly effect on anyone who disagreed with him.
Truman forced 1500 Jews back and refused them entry in the US after the war. They were survivors of WW II. They went to Palestine where they traumatised people who were not their enemies in the first place.
In 1974 things were going badly for Israel and Albright and Kissinger gave them heaps of shiny new Yank weapons which turned the tide of the war with Egypt and Jordan. The US has been pouring money and weapons into Israel ever since. In total about 18B per year. Israel gets about another 8B from Europe and the UK, mostly from Germany.

Re: The Rise of ISIS
My question is: the Jewish Holocaust happened 70 years ago.. why are the US and Europe still giving Israel so much money?

In order for Israel to survive it must agree to carry out all the dirty work of industrialised nations. For this work they are paid in money and arms. Most of the countries that support Israel really do not like them but tolerate them in exchange for maintaining the status quo of corruption. My dear Ag,our minds are too tony to comprehend the level of corruption that presently prevail pertaining to Isreal, Gods chosen terrorist. However the Israeli's are exploited although it might not be directly apparent. Someone have to do the dirty work if that is necessary, and sadly it is necessary.

Escaped Syrian Child Soldier: 'Don't Join ISIS'
Posted: 01/30/2015 4:29 pm EST
SANLIURFA, Turkey -- At age 14, Khaled held his first gun. Fifteen days later, one of the world's most feared extremist groups sent him into battle.
Khaled remembers how heavy the Kalashnikov rifle felt, how the noise hurt his ears. He recalls the terror of waking up in the hospital after a bullet grazed the back of his neck.
Now, this quiet teenager from Syria's eastern city of Deir al-Zour is speaking out against the jihadist group that has violently seized large swaths of Iraq and Syria. His message is simple: Don't join the Islamic State.
Khaled is just one of scores of child soldiers in Syria. While nearly all parties in the Syrian conflict -- U.S.-backed moderates, Kurdish fighters, extremist groups and regime forces alike -- have been accused of recruiting and using children in combat and support roles, the Islamic State is the most infamous in this regard.
Khaled says he had no idea what was in store for him when he joined ISIS last winter.

At the moment Isis is doing exactly what it was intended to do, that is to take attention off the teal negative development on the world stage. Something is developing that will shock the world and give rise to conflict. We are too focused on a small insignificant group and are missing the big picture.

Can't help but agree Star. There is a very big storm (economic?) looming up on the horizon.
ISIS is just a gang of thugs that are hogging the attention, they don't represent Islam or even the Sunnis.

Whether they are just a gang of thugs or whatever, they are not insignificant imo. Burning people alive?? Not insignificant at all...

When you consider how many children are Burt alive bombed from drones that no one hears about, yet the nations that are doing the bombing are making it look as if this is the most barberic thing that is happening on the planet. The only reason that this terribleness is causing so much outcry is because it is made public and graphic. It is actually diverting the publics attention from something much more barberic about to happen. Sadly most people are falling for the trick because it is horrific to watch a human being burnt alive. Don't forget Isis is made up of killers that were solicited from western countries.
